There are different options for dosing Full Spectrum CBD Oil...
General Dosing
The most efficient way for general "all over" well being is to always try to maintain an even amount of Cannabinoids in your system. Some pharmaceutical drugs are "time-released" in today's market. When using Cannabis Therapy YOU are the time release.
This is done by dosing 4 times a day.
1st dose upon waking
2nd dose with breakfast
3rd dose with lunch
4th dose before bed (double always)
Full Spectrum CBD Oil can be taken with or without food. Remember it can take up to 2hrs for it to metabolize. Usually you start with 1 drop sublingually 4x a day and increase your dose by 1 drop every 3rd day. Ex:
Day 1 1 drop 3x a day, 2 drops @ night
Day 2 1 drop 3x a day, 2 drops @ night
Day 3 2 drops 3x a day, 4 drops @ night
Day 4 2 drops 3x a day, 4 drops @ night
Day 5 2 drops 3x a day, 4 drops @ night
Day 6 3 drops 3 x a day, 6 drops @ night
Day 7 3 drops 3x a day, 6 drops @ night
Day 8 3 drops 3x a day, 6 drops @ night
Day 9 4 drops 3x a day, 8 drops @ night
Microdosing
This option is great when you have an unexpected injury and you need relief sooner than later.
This method starts with 1 drop every 1, 2 or 3 hrs. You just want to make sure the CBD Oil is being tolerated before introducing a steady stream. After a couple of days of this delivery method and the patient is comfortable, the drops can be combined into 4 doses per day.
Always keep in mind that Cannabis is non-toxic and there are no hard rules when it comes to dosing Full Spectrum CBD Oil. You should be mindful of wasting the medicine though. The receptors throughout your body can only absorb so much at a time. This is the exact reason you want to start slowly and build up your dose. Giving too much right off the bat will not get you relief quicker or more effectively.
Rescue Therapy
Although I am a firm believer that everyone should be ingesting some form of Cannabis on a daily basis I know that there are those that will only use Cannabis as a "rescue therapy." That means you have a bad day or pain levels are up so you take a dose not ever paying attention to the dosage per dropper. You get some sort of relief or go about your day or night and you may actually remember to take it a few more times until it gets shoved to the back of the counter or cabinet again. For you, luckily Cannabis is food and non-toxic.
When do I stop increasing my dose?
Generally, the first target dose is 1mg/1kilo of weight. Once you reach that target you want to sit there for a week or two and take inventory of your symptoms . Is there room for improvement? If so you can climb to 2mg/1kilo of weight. Most are comfortable between 1mg-5mg/kilo but some issues definitely call for more Cannabinoids on board even all the way up to 20mg/1kilo!
